Our June 2010 Spotlight Patient

Caroline, an active grandmother of two, is well traveled. Having lived in North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia, as well as working for a leisure travel agency for 30 years, she’s seen a lot. But after her family started jokingly referencing her “turkey neck,” Caroline decided to make an appointment with Plastic Surgeon Dr. Fernando Burstein of Atlanta Plastic Surgery to discuss some rejuvenation options.

“I had been thinking about having my neck done for the last year, and finally got the nerve to make the appointment with Dr Burstein after my daughter convinced me how great I would look with the natural-looking improvements Dr. Burstein’s surgeries produce” said Caroline.

After her initial consultation, Dr. Burstein suggested several small procedures to insure a natural looking rejuvenation including: a lower facelift, neck lift, lower eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), and mild chemical peel. The lower face and neck lift successfully remedied the “turkey neck” Caroline was concerned about by removing excess skin and fat along the jaw line while the eyelid and chemical peel firmed and smoothed the skin of her face.

“My friends keep asking me if I’ve been on vacation because I look so rested” says Caroline happily. “My life is great, I’m back to doing all of my favorite outdoor activities like walking and hiking, except now I make sure to wear my hat to protect my young looking face!”
