Addressing Concerns of the Chin and Neck

The effects of time, gravity, rapid weight loss, and even stress can cause sagging skin to make us look tired and aged beyond our years.  Of particular concern to many people is the area beneath the chin and around the neck, which can be one of the first areas affected by the signs of facial aging.  As skin elasticity and volume begin to diminish, tissue and fat can begin to slide lower on the face, resulting in sagging jowls, a double chin, or the proverbial “turkey-waddle”.  In some cases, this can even occur while the upper facial features still appear young and vital, long before a full facelift is even a consideration.  Fortunately, there are a number of different options available for rejuvenating the appearance of the lower chin and neck.
