Atlanta Plastic Surgeon Dr. Fernando Burstein Named to Top Doctors List of 2013

For the fifth year in a row, Atlanta plastic surgeon Dr. Fernando Burstein has been recognized as one of Atlanta Magazine’s Top Doctors in the field of plastic surgery. Every year, Atlanta Magazine releases a list of the area’s best physicians among their specialties. This list is assembled by Castle Connolly Medical Limited, an organization dedicated to helping consumers find the best possible healthcare. Beginning with an extensive peer-nomination process, Castle Connolly identifies the nation’s best doctors with a rigorous screening process led by a physician research team.

Dr Fernando Burstein

Double board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology (head and neck surgery), Dr. Fernando Burstein has earned the “Top Doc” honor for many years including 1999, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. With over 25 years of surgical experience, Dr. Burstein performs a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures such as facelift surgery, genioplasty (chin surgery), cleft lip and palate reconstruction, and craniofacial procedures. He is also affiliated with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as the Director of the Center of Craniofacial Disorders and specializes in pediatric reconstructive surgery.

Additionally, Dr. Burstein has developed unique techniques for facial procedures. He has developed a minimally invasive endoscopic treatment for muscular torticollis and a dermal grafting technique which uses the patient’s own tissue and bone during facial contouring surgery in place of synthetic materials. Staying on the forefront of surgical techniques and technology has been one of the few reasons why Dr. Burstein has remained one of the best doctors in Atlanta and nationwide.
