Maxillofacial Surgery

Maxillofacial surgery is a type of facial reconstructive surgery to remedy the physical symptoms of an array of congenital defects, injuries to the face, and disease that affects the face, head, neck, and/or jaws.  As a board certified Otolaryngologist (surgery of the head and neck) and plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Fernando Burstein has devoted much of his attention to educating medical peers on maxillofacial surgery techniques.  As the Medical Director of Children’s Center for Craniofacial Disorders and a Clinical Professor at Emory University, Dr. Burstein has lectured and written more than 100 articles on the topic.  Peruse his maxillofacial and facial reconstruction articles by clicking here.
