Kalyani Pandya, MMSc, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant
As Dr. Burstein’s Physician Assistant, Kalyani Pandya interacts with patients in a clinical and diagnostic setting and directly assists Dr. Burstein in the operating room during surgery. She also has extensive training and experience in performing various injectable facial rejuvenation treatments, including Botox®, Dysport®, and facial fillers like Juvéderm®, and Restylane®. She particularly enjoys having the opportunity to personally interact with and educate patients and their families and to help all of her patients “attain confidence via aesthetic or reconstructive surgery.”
Born in Gujarat, India and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Kalyani has had a cosmopolitan background and is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi. She completed her undergraduate studies at Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and then went on to Mercer University, where she obtained her Masters of Medical Science and specialist training as a Physician Assistant. One day she hopes to become involved with mission trips, and so looks forward to learning surgical techniques from “a surgeon like Dr. Burstein who is truly a master in his field.” As an avid reader, you’re likely to find her re-reading the Harry Potter series, and she also enjoys traveling, tennis, and spending time with her family, particularly her young nieces and nephews.
Michelle Coppenger, RN
Aesthetic Consulting Imaging Specialist
Michelle Coppenger is Dr. Burstein’s Aesthetic Consulting Imaging Specialist. During patient consultations, Michelle takes the patient’s before photos, uploads them into imaging software, and then works with the photos to show patients a representation, based on their surgical goals, of what they can accomplish with plastic surgery. Not only does computer imaging help patients develop realistic surgical expectations, but it also helps Dr. Burstein enhance patient satisfaction because he uses the images as a visual reference during surgery . Additionally, Michelle performs non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures such as Ulthera® skin tightening and Matrix RF™ non-laser resurfacing for Dr. Burstein’s Atlanta-area patients.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Delaware. Prior to working with Dr. Burstein, Michelle assisted in the operating room at Atlanta Plastic Surgery and has worked with Atlanta Plastic Surgery for about twenty years total. Michelle loves working with patients, offering them her unique perspective and showing them what they can achieve through plastic surgery. Outside of the office, Michelle likes to play tennis and spend time with her teenage daughter. She and her daughter enjoy doing volunteer work for various outreach groups like the Community Action Center in Sandy Springs, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, National Charity League, and Foster Care Support.
