Brow Lift / Forehead Lift in Atlanta, GA
Much like an upper facelift, a brow lift in Atlanta, GA works to reshape and smooth the forehead and area between the brows. Effective on deep forehead wrinkles, frown lines, brow furrows, and sagging eyebrows, a brow lift can make you look years younger by tightening the skin and muscles on the upper third of the face. Depending on an individual’s particular circumstance, Dr. Burstein can diminish the appearance of scars through the use of either short incisions hidden within the hairline or by using an endoscope during the procedure, known as the “key-hole” technique. Brow Lift/Forehead Lift FAQ
Q.) What’s the difference between a brow lift and an upper facelift?
While both of these procedures address upper portions of the face, like other mini facelift procedures, they’re designed to treat very specific areas of concern. Brow lift surgery focuses on eyebrows that have begun to sag, causing a hooded appearance over the eyelids. Upper facelift surgery smooths wrinkles and deep creases on the forehead associated with age.
Q.) I read that you can perform a brow lift endoscopically to reduce scars. Does that mean traditional brow lift surgery leaves noticeable scars behind?
Dr. Burstein works to strategically hide plastic surgery incisions in each of his facial cosmetic procedures. In fact, he hides traditional facelift incisions in the hairline—exactly where he hides them during endoscopic brow lift surgery. The difference, however, is the size of the incision.
Q.) How long will it take to recover from a forehead lift?
There are a number of different factors that will affect the rate at which you heal from forehead lift surgery. Most traditional browlift/ forehead lift patients require two weeks to return to their normal daily activities, but patients can expedite the process by not smoking and adhering to their surgeon’s after-care instructions.
