Pediatric Deformities of the Jaw

Jaw deformities are most often the result of a congenital defect or trauma like an accident. Medical conditions present at birth can affect either the upper or lower jaw, or both which can make it difficult for children to speak, eat, and/or breathe. Whether the jaw protrudes too far forward, is too short, or doesn’t align with the upper jaw Dr. Burstein works to correct jaw deformities through facial reshaping , bone reduction, and/or jaw repositioning.
