Facial Rejuvenation
Facial Fillers (Juvéderm®, Restylane® & Perlane®)
Dermal fillers are a less invasive option to reversing the beginning signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles. Juvéderm® and Restylane® are non-animal collagen products made of a naturally occurring substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). Because the body naturally produces HA in human collagen an allergic reaction is less likely to occur in response to one of these facial fillers. The results of Juvéderm® and Restylane® generally last around 6 months.
Cosmetic Injectables (Botox® & Dysport®)
Botox® and Dysport® are each purified forms of the toxin botulinum that cause the facial muscles to relax. This muscle relaxation smoothes the appearance of wrinkles and furrows around the eyes and forehead to create a more youthful appearance. Cosmetic injectables can also help prevent further wrinkles from forming with results lasting an average of 4-6 months.
Dermal Fat Grafting
The process of dermal fat grafting allows the patient to transfer fat and supportive tissue from one area of the face to another. For example, a patient may choose to have fat removed during a neck lift and have it relocated to aging or hollowed-out areas of the face. Dermal fat grafting lasts longer than Botox® and Restylane® because it comes from the body’s own material as opposed to being a synthetic product. This is different than fat transfer which harvest fat once it is liquefied from donor regions; dermal fat grafting will produce a flexible base so that the relocated tissue can remain in place and survive.
